The world of online poker is full of #1-ranked players. Here's a sample of who is leading the way in their home country.

The dog days of summer have hit the PocketFives Worldwide Rankings as nine of the top 10 players remain the same as last week. This includes another week at the top of the rankings for the Swedish powerhouse ‘lena900’.

Usually one to put in a good deal of volume, ’lena900’ put in a very light schedule this week only recording 12 results. Impressively, all 12 of his cashes took place on Sunday, July 1. Of these, two were PLB point qualifiers, including his first-place finish in the PokerStars Hotter $109 for $14,245 and 292.06 PLB points. He also booked a second five-figure finish by winning The Whale on 888poker for another $20,000/223.61 PLB points.

In total, ‘lena900’ added just over $50,000 to his bankroll in a single day, adding to his over $11 million in lifetime earnings.

‘C Darwin2’, June’s PLB points leader, remains in the Worldwide #2 spot this week. Like his countryman ‘lena900’, the Swede took the bulk of the week off, managing 11 cashes on Sunday, June 11, none of which added to his PLB point total. He currently trails the #1 spot by an intimidating 1909 PLB points, the type of gap he used to enjoy over his fellow competitors when he was ranked #1.

Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky remains on hiatus from the online grind however, his previous efforts helps him remain in the #3 position.

The #4-ranked ‘hellohellohello’ is also taking a major break this week. He only recorded a single cash, but it’s a good one. The Russian took first place in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller on July 1 for $38,215 and 316.23 PLB points. He sits a mere 41 points behind ‘Romeopro’ in his efforts to return to the top 3.

Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth also retains his rank from last week, checking in at #5. He added 208.63 PLB points to his total with a silver medal finish in the same PokerStars High Roller that ‘hellohellohello’ ended up winning. Nemeth took him 423,498 for his efforts.

There were some slight shifts in the bottom half of the top 10 as ‘GINS FINEST’ climbed over Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone for the #6 spot. The ranking for ‘GINS FINEST’ is a new career-high for the grinder and he did it with a third-place finish in the PokerStars Hotter $215 where he won $7,477 and picked up 141.66 PLB points. Petrone didn’t put up much of a fight this week, taking the entire week off from the online grind.

The rest of the top 10 had the same idea as ‘Ariados’ (#8), Michael ‘mchang’ Zhang (#9) and Pedro ‘PaDiLhA SP’ Padilha (#10) all continued to stay away from the online grind.
