WSOP Paradise
Players will be heading to WSOP Paradise and The Bahamas in December, but how can they make sure they're playing?

The schedule has been released for the 2023 World Series of Poker Paradise festival, which will be held at Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in The Bahamas between December 3rd and 14th later this year. With packages to some of the world’s best players surely going to be up for grabs on our Poker Staking page, we can look forward to a huge 15 WSOP bracelet events that are coming, along with sun, sea and sand!

Preparing for Paradise

The first-ever World Series of Poker Paradise, which will hit The Bahamas in association with GGPoker, begins in just 15 weeks but what can players expect? Well, big guarantees or one thing. Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas, while historically associated with PokerStars for the PCA (PokerStars Caribbean Adventure) will welcome players who are staying at the resort with a ‘players exclusive’ offer. This comes out at an estimated $4,112 including booking fees and taxes.

Players can of course buy in directly to the tournaments on offer, with 15 events offering multiple chances at winning a WSOP bracelet. Qualifying for the WSOP Paradise festival takes place online at GGPoker, who has pledged to send no less than 1,000 players to Atlantis. Their packages include not only a $5,000 entry into the Main Event, but also complimentary lunch buffet vouchers, and an 11-night stay at the Atlantis Paradise Island resort, itself worth almost as much as the Main Event buy-in itself.

As well as the Main Event, GGPoker will also be putting in at least 200 players with packages for the GGMillion$ event up for grabs. These also include an 11-night ‘upgraded’ stay, the $25,000 entry fee and the same lunch vouchers as before. That is sure to be a spectacular satellite competition into the event.

An ‘Unforgettable’ Winter World Series Festival

“We look forward to crowning our first Main Event champion at Atlantis Paradise Island.” ~ Ty Stewart.

The thrill of playing in a live event is sure to be huge for first-time players, but the WSOP are keen to express their wish to make the festival truly inclusive, giving everyone a magical time.

“It’s official, WSOP Paradise is set to deliver an unforgettable new winter series with our jam-packed schedule,” Ty Stewart, the Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the World Series of Poker, said. “We can’t wait for cards to be in the air in paradise this December, and we look forward to crowning our first Main Event champion at Atlantis Paradise Island.”

Players who enjoyed the Las Vegas World Series of Poker this past summer are sure to love what is going to take place in Atlantic when poker hopefuls of all levels swap Sin City for the white sandy beaches and glorious sunshine that The Bahamas are famed for.

“Whether you made the trip to Vegas or not, you don’t want to miss out on what we’ve got in store with our partners at GGPoker.” Said Stewart.

Other Events to Get Excited About

The Main Event will certainly garner a lot of attention and with a $15,000,000 guarantee, that’s to be expected. But along with the Main Event, the GGMILLION$ – with a $10m guarantee – and other headliners, there are some niche events that will please the recreational poker players who make the trip too.

GGPoker’s Mystery Millions event will utilize GGPoker’s ‘OnLive’ (it blends online and live) which will see players who participate taking part in online Day 1s, with the rest of the event taking place inside the money places and in The Bahamas as the business end of the tournament is played out in Atlantis.

This is also the case in the $1,500-entry Millionaire Maker, which will see players battle at the online felt and meet up in WSOP Paradise, play on hiatus from the field being trimmed to 100 participants.

With over $50 million in guaranteed tournament prizepools, this could be the biggest ‘non-Vegas’ WSOP event for a very long time. GGPoker, who put 774 players into the 2023 WSOP Main Event via online satellite qualifiers, are pivotal to the progress of poker paradise growing the player list in advance of the festival taking place in December this year.
