PokerStake Privacy Policy

P5s Holdings LLC understands your desire to have your personal information protected. We respect your concerns about privacy and will now describe the types of information we collect, how we may use it, and with whom we may share it. Please contact us at support@PokerStake.com with any questions you may have.

Personal Information

We may request that you provide personal information if you contact us, create a PokerStake.com user account, request technical support, provide feedback, participate in a promotion, or seek business-related opportunities.

In order to create an account on PokerStake.com, you will need to select a user name and password and provide a valid e-mail address. We may also collect your time zone preference and location, should you choose to supply the latter. If an existing member of PokerStake.com referred you to the site, you may also enter their username, but this is not required.

We have taken appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. These measures protect your data from misuse or unauthorized access.

Aggregate Information

We may collect aggregate and non-personal information when users visit our website. This includes, but is not limited to, how many users visit our site, the pages accessed, and the countries that users came from. By collecting this information, we may learn how to best tailor our website to our visitors. We may track domain names, IP addresses, location, browser types, and other technical information from users who visit our site.

Cookies

At times, we may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit PokerStake.com. These companies may use information about your visits to PokerStake.com and other sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services that may be of interest to you.

Opting Out

We provide a number of ways for you to opt out of receiving information from us. If you do not wish to continue receiving our e-mails, you can opt out by clicking “Opt Out” in the footer of the e-mail or contact us at support@PokerStake.com.

Additionally, you can select not to receive Private Messages on PokerStake.com by visiting “My Account” and then clicking “General Settings”. There, you can select whether to receive Private Messages and e-mail notifications from PokerStake.com.

Third Party Privacy Policies

Please consult the Privacy Policies of third parties we work with, such as ad networks, for their general practices.

Legal Information

In certain instances, it may be necessary for P5s Holdings LLC to disclose your personal information to government officials or as otherwise required by law. No personally identifiable information may be disclosed to any law enforcement agency or governmental agency except in response to a subpoena, warrant, or other process issued by a court of competent jurisdiction; a legal process having the same consequence as a court-issued request for information; or where such disclosure is necessary for us to enforce our legal rights.

Links to External Websites

On PokerStake.com, there may be links to companies with whom we have a business relationship. We encourage you to read their Privacy Policies carefully. We may also link to websites that are maintained by one or more of our business partners who are collecting your information pursuant to their own policies.

When you gamble online, including playing poker, you are subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where you are located. It is your responsibility to determine the law that applies to you and to only make a bet where it is legal to do so.

The advertisements you find on PokerStake.com are designed only for jurisdictions where such advertising is legal. An advertisement or hyperlink does not constitute an offer, solicitation, or invitation for the use of any service in any jurisdiction in which such activities are prohibited or restricted; they are void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Deleting and Editing Forum Posts

You may edit or delete any posts you make up to 30 minutes hour after publishing them. After 30 minutes have elapsed, there is no option to delete your posts, but you may contact support@PokerStake.com with any concerns you have. Deleting posts after 30 minutes disrupts the general flow of forum threads, as other posters have likely responded to the community’s comments and generated additional discussion. Many other major poker message boards have editing policies that are similar to PokerStake’.

Deactivating Profiles

If requested, PokerStake may deactivate a member’s profile. Deactivation of a profile may not remove any posts associated with a user’s account, but will instead cause his or her profile to appear as a blank page. If requested, PokerStake may de-index a member’s profile from major search engines like Google. To deactivate your account, please e-mail support@PokerStake.com.

Removing Poker Site Names

PokerStake members are encouraged to add or remove poker site names from their profiles as they see fit. However, all changes may be documented in a Change Log. The Change Log cannot be edited or deleted due to security concerns; it only tracks a user’s poker name changes.

Consent to Display Information

PokerStake reserves the right to display any information you submit in your profile, including, but not limited to, legal name, location, online and live tournament cashes and performance, profession, hobbies, favorite places to play, and earnings for poker site names. You may remove or edit any of this information at any time.
